Take payments on a Clover® Station Duo
Your Clover® Station Duo has two units. The unit facing the cashier has your merchant screen where you enter orders. The unit facing the customer has the smaller, 7-inch terminal screen where customers pay.
Your customers can:
- Swipe, dip, or tap their payment cards
- Use their phones to tap to pay
- Use digital wallet options that are available in your area
Pay with a chip card
To pay this way, the customer should:
- Hold the card face-up.
- Insert the edge with the chip into the top of the payment terminal.
- Push until the card clicks into the slot.
- Follow the instructions on the screen:
- Optionally add a tip (where available).
- Enter a PIN if prompted.
- Optionally sign the screen using a finger.
- Choose receipt options.
- Remove the card when prompted.
Pay with a magnetic stripe card
To pay this way, the customer should:
- Hold the card facing them.
- Rotate the card so the magnetic stripe is at the bottom and facing away.
- Slide the card from left to right in the groove along the top edge of the payment terminal.
- Follow the instructions on the screen:
- Choose debit or credit. Debit transactions will prompt for PIN entry.
- Optionally add a tip (where available).
- Optionally sign the screen using a finger.
- Choose receipt options.
Pay with a contactless card
To pay this way, the customer should:
- Hold the card facing them.
- Hold the card close to the contactless payment symbol on the screen.
- Follow the instructions on the screen:
- Optionally add a tip (where available).
- Optionally sign the screen using a finger.
- Choose receipt options.
