Our History

2004

First Gravity Merchant

Our founder, Dan Price, starts Gravity Payments from his college dorm room to help small businesses he saw being underserved.

2005

1st Seattle office opens

Gravity Payments opens its doors at its first office in Belltown with 6 employees.

2007

Expansion to Hawaii

Gravity expands to the Hawaiian islands, establishing a 100% local team.

2015

70k Minimum Salary

Our founder increases minimum wage to 70K to ensure all employees are being paid a living wage.

2017

Acquisition of CIP

Gravity Payments acquired Charge-it-Pro in Boise, ID, expanding the company’s products and services with direct payment integrations.

2019

Becoming One Team

Charge-it-Pro and Gravity become one company and all employees adopt Gravity’s compensation philosophy of a living wage while blending both company’s cultures.

2019

Gravity employee milestone!

Gravity grows to 200 employees in Nov 2019 between our Seattle , Honolulu, and Boise offices.

2020

Gravity Legal launches

Tammi Kroll becomes CEO

After 6 years as CIO/COO/CTO at the company, Tammi Kroll takes the helm at Gravity as the new CEO.
