Today is National Chop Suey Day and in honor of the holiday, we want to give a shout out to one of the great independent businesses in Seattle we serve – Chop Suey!
Did you know when we first started Gravity, “having fun” was one of our core values? That’s why we love serving Chop Suey – it’s a place built for fun! From their great food, (We suggest The Hendrix Burger! It includes deep fried cream cheese, sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, and fried jalapeños with a special tangy sweet sauce) to their Happy Hour from 4PM-8PM Monday through Friday, and their GGNZLA Karaoke every Monday, Chop Suey is always a good time. On top of consistently delivering quality food, beverage, and good times, Chop Suey offers shows ranging from Led Zeppelin cover bands to punk and everything in between.

One of the most intriguing aspects of Chop Suey is their weekly Dance Yourself Clean event every Saturday night. Dance Yourself Clean is a dark room with loads of fog, some lasers, and some good music from an LCD Soundsystem. It’s a time where you can go dance and forget about everything else. There’s no frills. According to DJ Joel Albers, “We’re not trying to impress anybody with Go-Go dancers or any fancy decor, that’s what Vegas is for. For us, it’s all about the music.”
