I was born in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico. My first language was not Spanish or English. My family speaks a native Mexican dialect called Mixteco, so that is the language that I learned first. I have lived in Washington for over 20 years.
I enjoy meeting new people and building good relationships with others. In my free time, I hang out with my kids, my family, and my friends. I also volunteer with Year Up, an organization that trains Opportunity Youth, by empowering them to go from a minimum wage job to earning a living wage in just one year.
Three words that I would use to describe myself: Industrious, because I never back down from hard, meaningful work. Resilient, because I believe in never giving up- I might take a little break, but I strive to reach my finish line. Curious, because my desire to be a lifelong learner is what has taught me every lesson and has brought me every blessing in my life.
I have years of experience in the technical customer support field, and I am excited to bring this experience to Gravity Payments. My mother has an entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up, I worked at her convenience store and other small businesses, so I’m super excited for the opportunity to help her kind of people. To be able to help our merchants in Spanish is the cherry on top!
