I was born and raised in the greater Seattle area. My experiences growing up in the Pacific Northwest have allowed me to discover what truly makes me tick day in and day out. In the 5th grade, I picked up a viola for the first time and played it all throughout my time at Western Washington University. It was there that my passion for music flourished. I’ve played in two bands where I learned to play the violin, mandolin, ukulele, and tenor guitar while dabbling in vocals. We even have an EP on Spotify. Needless to say, music has been a significant driving force in my life!
My passion for the outdoors also flourished up north in Bellingham. I try to get myself outside every day. Whether that be a quick run, a hike through the cascades, or camping somewhere on Mt.Baker. Music and the outdoors are really what has made me into who I am today. About a year ago, I left the country for six months to try and escape and immerse myself in cultures and environments different from my own. Some highlights of that trip included a five-day canoe trek down the Whanganui River in New Zealand, celebrating Songkran (Thai New Year) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, traversing Vietnam via motorbike, trekking the jungles of Cambodia, and living in a small community in Laos. Throw in my love of board games, the Sounders, Mariners, a solid IPA, dogs, acting like a complete goofball, and helping people and you’ve got me in a nutshell!
Fun Facts: I earned a 3rd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do at age 14, where I became an instructor and discovered my love of helping others. I am also a part of a group from Eastern Washington University that broke the world record for the longest game of ultimate frisbee. Over 85 hours! My next ideal travel adventure will be completing Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit through the Himalayas in Nepal!
Even from a young age, I loved to help people. My jobs throughout my life have all had a pretty big customer service focus. I am empathetic, patient, and understand that every human being has their own story. What I love so much about Gravity is their focus on the smaller businesses. I met so many amazing small business owners throughout my travels with inspiring stories. However, with every good story came a story of hardship. It’s not easy for small businesses to thrive these days. What I saw in Gravity was a group of people that are ready to hear out small businesses. I will listen to every success story, listen intently about every hardship, continuously learn and do my part to ensure that our customers feel supported and successful!
