The military and Gravity Payments share similar core values, such as, serving others before yourself, integrity, commitment to the little guy, and working as a team to reach success. When asked what transferable skill was most helpful from military to civilian workforce, our Service and Support Representative (and veteran) Alyssa O’Neal’s response was teamwork.
The most important thing I learned in the military, which I now use at Gravity, is TEAMWORK. You don’t do anything as a sole individual, you act and breathe as a TEAM. A team is a group of individuals moving forward with a purpose, driven toward EVERYONE’S success, and I truly believe Gravity nurtures that. I’m proud to work alongside everyone here, and know that I wouldn’t have had the successes that I’ve achieved without all of them pushing me. So thank you for allowing me to flourish and bring what I’ve learned into a company full of such bright human beings.
The only way we do business at Gravity is as a cohesive team. Similarly, as the military, our commitment to duty is an important value. Together we are committed to doing business by serving others, doing more for them, and charging less. We believe in full transparency in order to do what’s right by our business owners by cluing them in on hidden fees and anything that might be lost in the fine print. Because doing what is right is more important than turning a profit.
As our motto goes, “We exist to stand with the little gal or guy who believes in the American Dream and is willing to work to chase it”, and we thank those who have donned the uniform and the families who have served next to them for their service.
